Job Description
We are seeking an experienced video editor to work as a freelance contractor. The ideal candidate should have a passion for video editing and be able to turn long live sessions on YouTube into engaging and compelling shorter videos also for YouTube.
Responsibilities
- Edit long live sessions into shorter, focused videos that highlight key moments and topics
- Work with live session footage to create engaging, professional-quality videos for YouTube
- Ensure all videos meet brand standards and align with the creative vision
- Work efficiently to meet tight deadlines and deliver high-quality work
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and provide regular updates on project progress
Abilities & Skills
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
- Know you to use or export Descript projects into video editing software
- Strong visual storytelling skills and attention to detail
- Understanding of video compression and file formats for online distribution
- Knowledge of color correction and color grading techniques
- Ability to work with sound design, mixing, and audio editing software
- Understanding of video optimization for YouTube & HTML5 video, including aspect ratios, resolutions, and file sizes
- Familiarity with YouTube’s guidelines and policies for video content
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to take direction and provide regular updates on project progress.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a video editor, with a portfolio showcasing your work
- Strong skills in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro
- Excellent visual storytelling skills
- Ability to work independently
- Must have a reliable internet connection and be able to work remotely
